BJE Impact

BJE Impact: The Center for Jewish Service Learning

We empower teens to make an impact on their communities, and build a strong Jewish identity in the process.

Programs include:

BJE Teen Service Corps summer day camp; a website with community service opportunites around Greater Los Angeles; and resources and consultations for educators.

BJE NextGen seeks to recruit and direct young adults to BJE through social, educational, and volunteer opportunities; with the goal of supporting Jewish education with their time and financial resources.

ECE children

JKidLA connects Jewish families in LA with Jewish educational programs and resources that reflect their unique values and preferences including parent & me groups, preschools, day schools, religious schools, camps, as well as resources for teens, parents and families raising children with special needs. It’s also all about fun things to do in Jewish LA; recipes, crafts and holiday ideas.

March of the Living with LA sign under Arbeit Macht Frei

BJE March of the Living

The March of the Living is an annual educational program, which brings students from all over the world to Poland, in order to study the history of the Holocaust and to examine the roots of prejudice, intolerance and hate.  BJE's Los Angeles delegation is the largest in the nation and is open to all 12th graders.

BJE Lainer Interns Program

A highly competitive program that introduces college juniors and seniors an opportunity to explore contemporary issues and approaches to Jewish education in multiple settings, and to experience "hands on" internships with outstanding mentors.

The three-semester program is open to Jewish students at universities throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.
