BJE's Day School Capacity Building Initiative
BJE ensures that day schools and educators are the best they can be for the sake of our children and community. BJE’s Day School Capacity Building initiative helps schools operate more efficient, cost-effective programs and implement best practices.
BJE accesses grants and government funding to bring the leading thinkers and ideas in Jewish education and management to the attention of local day schools. Through professional development workshops, coaching and cross-denominational think tanks, BJE facilitates collaborative learning that strengthens the entire community.
In additional, BJE works with donors, foundations and schools to build endowments that will help ensure more affordable and accessible Jewish educational opportunities for children and families.

Recent years have seen a dramatic expansion of Jewish day schools in Los Angeles. The challenges of day school affordability, institutional strength, educational excellence, and expanding enrollment are considerable. To address these challenges BJE created the Center for Excellence in Day School Education.
Today, 39 BJE-accredited day schools and nearly 10,000 K-12 students benefit from the work being done through this center.
